ABOUT the RED LION-FELTON BAND

Welcome to the Red Lion-Felton Band! We are a vibrant and talented group of musicians who share a deep passion for music, with a commitment to enriching our community through our performances. With a rich history and a diverse repertoire, we strive to create captivating musical experiences for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

Established in 1892, our band has been an integral part of the Red Lion and Felton communities for over 130 years. Our group is comprised of musicians from various walks of life, including seasoned professionals, enthusiastic amateurs, and talented students. Together, we create a harmonious ensemble that thrives on collaboration, dedication, and the joy of making music together.

At the core of our band's philosophy is the belief that music has the power to connect, inspire, and uplift. We strive to foster a supportive and more inclusive environment where musicians of all skill levels can come together to pursue their passion and showcase what they have to offer with their talents. Whether you are a beginner, a seasoned performer, or someone who simply enjoys playing music, we invite you to join us on this musical journey.

Come and join! This invitation is for you to join us in our rehearsals and perform with us. We greatly admire your musical talent and believe that your participation would be a wonderful addition to our ensemble. We hold our practices every Thursday night, starting from the beginning of January until mid-May. The rehearsal location is the basement of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, located at 45 First Ave Red Lion, PA 17356. Our rehearsal times are from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. One of our primary goals is to contribute to the cultural fabric of our community. We regularly perform at local events, churches, retirement communities and other community gatherings, providing a source of entertainment and enjoyment for all. We take great pride in being ambassadors of music, representing the Red Lion and Felton communities through our performances both within and outside the region.

Our repertoire is as diverse as our members, encompassing a wide range of musical genres including classical, jazz, pop, and traditional marches. We carefully curate our programs to appeal to a broad audience while showcasing the exceptional talent within our ensemble. Each performance is a unique and memorable experience, blending virtuosity with a heartfelt connection to the music.
